The New Dimension of the Universe

Does the Universe exhibit a periodic structure across logarithmic scales? Sergey Sukhonos devoted more than forty years to this fundamental question.

Diagram of stability along the scale axis: from subatomic scales through the human scale to galaxies, showing alternating peaks and troughs across logarithmic length.

Watch the Introduction

An introduction to the discovery of scale periodicity in the Universe and the work of Sergei Sukhonos.

Read the Book

A synthesis of Sukhonos’s life work: structures from particles to the metagalaxy align on a logarithmic scale with ~10⁵ periodicity. It introduces the S-Dimension and a wave-based model of scale with empirical foundations.

Conference

The Sukhonos Conference is a series of annual conferences established to honor the legacy of Sergey Ivanovich Sukhonos and to advance research in the paradigm of cross-scale regularities.

The conference brings together scientists, researchers, and independent scholars working across disciplines — from physics and cosmology to biology, systems theory, and philosophy — who share an interest in the structural organization of nature across scales. The central premise uniting participants is that the hierarchical structure of the Universe is not incidental but reflects deep regularities that merit systematic investigation.

Each conference features presentations exploring various facets of scale-structural analysis: empirical validations of the periodicity, connections to modern physics, applications in biology and ecology, philosophical implications, and extensions to social and civilizational systems. The conference serves as a meeting point for an interdisciplinary community that continues to develop and test the ideas Sukhonos pioneered.

Researchers in systems science, complexity theory, fractal analysis, astrobiology, and related fields are warmly invited to participate and contribute. We believe that Sukhonos’s framework offers a unifying lens that can generate new insights across many domains.
